Today’s use of lightweight construction material and higher fuel loading is causing fires to burn hotter, raising the danger of flashovers due to increased heat release rates. PyroLance allows firefighters to cool the interior temperature before entry and quickly suppress the fire. The system is lightweight, rugged and durable, giving fire crews increased mobility while reducing fatigue.

Today’s Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) emergencies require quick response and the ability to access complex composite structures such as those found on 5th generation combat aircraft. PyroLance gives crews access to engine bays, cabins, cargo holds or anywhere else fire breaks out. By directing the powerful UHP stream directly at the source of the fire, fires can be cooled and extinguished with maximum effectiveness. The PyroBlitz gives wildland firefighters the ability to deploy rapidly, manage the terrain, and quickly fight and contain the fire — all in one efficient system. Thanks to the low water usage of ultra-high pressure, water supplies last five to 10 times longer than normal pressure with greater effectiveness each minute they are in use. Using Class A foam, firefighters can quickly lay down a wet line or coat structures in advance of the fire line.

PyroLance is unique in that it provides for a standoff attack, while still giving marine crews the ability to attack a shipboard fire offensively. Firefighters can pierce through the thick steel of a bulkhead without allowing entrainment of oxygen, then deliver water at 1,500 psi (100 Bar) at speeds of 400 mph (645 kph) directly into the thermal column for rapid containment of the fire.

PyroLance is effective in taking on all types of rail, truck, bus or other vehicle fires. Fast, direct access is particularly useful for any type of engine or fuel fires. And since 90% of an ultra-high pressure stream is effective in extinguishing the fire, there is next to no runoff to speak of in the aftermath, keeping water damage to a minimum.
